The World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) is the world's largest debating tournament for varsity and one of the largest annual international student events in the world. The previous edition had 434 teams from 50 different countries participating. WUDC forces a higher level of critical thinking and requires a deeper level of knowledge on each topic than any other international tournaments, as the Adjudication Core is carefully selected from past champions and other world-class debaters. UI’s delegates for WUDC 2021 have been selected because they represent the best of what UI has to offer in terms of critical thinking, awareness of a wide range of issues, and persuasive public speaking abilities. The lessons that we could gain through the exchange of argumentation under a diverse set of topics during challenging debate rounds of WUDC 2021 would be an invaluable experience for the growth of our institution and as an individual.
